          Create a Classification in Data 360

          In Data 360, define sensitivity or usage levels to categorize data and drive governance policies such as masking and access control.

          Required Editions

          Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User permission needed  
          To create a classification: Data Cloud Architect permission set
          1. In Data Cloud, go to the Data Governance tab.
          2. In the left pane, click Classifications.
          3. Click New and select the source taxonomy.
          4. If you’re creating a child classification, select its parent classification.
          5. Enter a unique classification name and an optional description.
            The classification API name is auto-filled based on the classification name, but you can change it.
          6. Click Next.
          7. (Optional) Attach tags to your classification. You can also attach tags at a later time.
            Tags are hierarchical. If you attach a parent tag, all its child tags are included.
          8. Save your classification.
