Create a governed target for which segment membership is prioritized and filtered during
activation in Data Cloud. You can set a cap for Marketing Cloud Engagement, Microsoft Azure, and
SFTP targets.
To create activation targets and use Communication
Capping:
One of these permission sets:
Data Cloud Architect
Data Cloud Activation Manager
In Data Cloud, click Activation Targets, and then click
New.
Select the activation platform, and click Next.
Select Communication Capping Activation Target, and click
Next.
Enter a name for the activation target, and an optional description.
Select a data space.
The communication capping activation targets can be defined only on data spaces already
associated with the communication capping instance.
For SFTP or Microsoft Azure, select the connector.
Click Next.
Enter the target details, and then click Save.
The communication capping activation targets are retrieved through metadata association and
displayed in the Target Mapping tab on the Communication Capping page.
After creating the communication capping activation target, map it to parameters.
