Create a Custom Data Model Object from an Existing Data Model Object

Create a Custom Data Model Object from an Existing Data Model Object

Use a custom data model object (DMO) to store information that is unique to your business. You can create a DMO by copying an existing standard or custom DMO.

          1. On the Data Model tab, click New.
          2. Click From Existing.
          3. Click the tab for the type of DMO that you want to copy, either standard or custom.
          4. Select the DMO.
          5. To view the DMO’s fields, click the dropdown next to its name.
          6. Click Next.
          7. Enter the details for Object Label, Category, and Object Description. The Object API Name is auto-filled.
The Object API Name must be unique across standard and custom DMOs, excluding the ssot__ prefix.
          8. Review the field attributes.
          9. Click Save.

You can now use your custom DMO.
