Disable or Re-enable a Salesforce CRM Connector Data Stream Field

Disable or Re-enable a Salesforce CRM Connector Data Stream Field

Disable a field in a Salesforce CRM connector data stream to stop new data ingestion, clear existing data for that field, and remove it. If the field is required again later for a standard or custom data lake object (DLO), you can enable it. You can’t assign the name of a disabled field to a new field.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.

Disable a Salesforce CRM Connector Data Stream Field

If you no longer need a field in a Salesforce CRM connector data stream, you can disable it.

To disable the field, follow the instructions in Disable a Data Stream Field.

Re-enable a Salesforce CRM Connector Data Stream Field

If a data stream field becomes relevant again, re-enable it by adding a source field to the data stream.

          1. In Data 360, go to the Data Streams tab.
          2. Select the data stream for which you want to re-enable the field.
          3. On the Fields tab, click Add Source Field on the top right.
          4. Select your disabled field to re-enable it.

You re-enabled the disabled field, and its data is now ingested again to the original DLO field that it was paired with.

Alternatively, you can re-enable a disabled field by re-deploying a data stream, including the disabled field, see Create a Salesforce CRM Data Stream. You can also use the UpdateDataStream endpoint of the Data 360 Connect REST API.
