Store or Remove Deleted CRM Connector Data Stream Records
Store soft deleted data stream records that have been in the Salesforce Recycle Bin for
up to 15 days. To store deleted data stream records, create a Deleted Record data lake object
(DLO). You can use this DLO to view your stored records and use them in Data 360. For example, you
can use the Deleted Record DLO to store deleted contacts outside of your Recycle Bin. You can only
store deleted records of structured data streams.
In the Data 360 app, go to the Data Streams tab and select a data
stream associated with the Salesforce CRM connector.
Make sure that that the data stream has a “IsDeleted” field by reviewing the Field Name
column. This field indicates that a record is in the Salesforce Recycle Bin, and is normally
needed to create the Deleted Record DLO.
If your data stream doesn’t have a “IsDeleted” field, click Add Source
Fields and add the field API name “IsDeleted__C”.
From the dropdown menu on the top-right, select Store Deleted
Records.
You can view your data stream’s new Deleted Record DLO and check its status under the
Data Lake Objects tab. If you delete a data stream, its associated
Deleted Record DLO is also deleted.
Remove Stored Deleted Records
You can remove stored deleted records by removing the Deleted Record DLO through the
Data Streams tab. Upon deletion, the DLO and all its associated data are
removed permanently. You can’t remove this DLO directly from the Data Lake Objects tab.
In the Data 360 app go to the Data Streams tab.
Select the data stream whose stored records you want to delete.
From the dropdown menu on the top-right, select Remove Stored Deleted
Records.
Confirm deletion, or if prompted, follow the instructions on screen to delete any
dependencies that prevent the Deleted Record DLO from being removed.
The stored records are now deleted, including all the data assigned to them. You can’t access
the permanently deleted records.
Note When you delete a data stream that has stored records, the stored records are also
deleted.
