Data Governance
Data Lens operates by leveraging the existing query layer to preview data, ensuring adherence to established security protocols. Data Lens respects policies such as dynamic PII masking, which is applied at the time of the query. This means only the masked version of the data is displayed in the Data Lens preview, while the raw, unmasked data remains secure in its original location. This approach ensures sensitive information is protected from unauthorized viewing during data exploration and preview, aligning with strict data governance and compliance requirements.
