          Applying these best practices helps maintain consistent data visibility and governance alignment across your organization.

          • Validate lineage accuracy regularly. If the graph doesn’t match expected flows, contact Salesforce Support to rebuild it.
          • Use tags consistently. Ensure that key governance tags such as sensitivity or classification are applied at both the object and field level.
          • Correlate lineage with policies. Cross check tag-based policies to confirm that access rules align with lineage paths.
          • Document critical dependencies. Record major upstream and downstream relationships for high-impact objects to aid troubleshooting.
          • Leverage Lineage in reviews. Incorporate lineage insights during data model and policy change reviews to reduce risk.
