Considerations for Data Stream Field Disablement

Considerations for Data Stream Field Disablement

There are few restrictions to consider when planning to disable a data stream field.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Edition

          Common Considerations

You can't disable these types of data stream fields.

          • Fields used as part of the Primary Key, Event Date Time, Organization Unit Identifier or Record Modified fields.
          • System-generated fields such as Data Source, Data Source Object, cdp_sys_SourceVersion, and Internal Organization.
          • Fields used as source fields in any other formula field.
          • Fields of a data stream that is deployed from a Package.
          • Fields of data stream ingesting data from Marketing Cloud Engagement Bundle and Mobile SDK streams.

Considerations for Disabling a Field in CRM

          • To delete a field from your connected CRM, first disable that field from Data 360 to avoid ingestion errors in data streams.
          • After you disable a field, you can delete the field through the connected Salesforce CRM Object Manager admin tool. Then remove the field from the Data 360 permission set in that connected Salesforce CRM.
