You can change a data graph’s name and description, associate new data model objects (DMO), and make additive changes to the existing primary and associated DMOs.

-
In Data Graphs, next to the data graph you want to change, select Edit.
You can edit data graphs that aren’t in a processing state.
-
To add associated objects, click + or search for a DMO.
If there's more than one path to a DMO, choose a path from the list of results. Longer paths add more levels to your data graph. In real-time data graphs, the relationship join must use the primary key of the parent data model object (DMO). If a relationship requires a non–primary key field from the parent DMO, it isn’t supported for real-time data graph.
-
To add fields, select them in the data graph’s DMOs.
If the data graph is in draft status, you can add and remove objects and fields. If the data graph has any other status, you can add objects and fields but not remove existing ones. When you edit a real-time data graph, you can’t add DMOs that create an N:1 relationship. Real-time data graphs support only 1:1 and 1:N relationships for new associations. Existing real-time data graphs that already include N:1 relationships continue to run. However, changes to the parent DMO in an N:1 relationship aren’t immediately reflected in the data graph.
-
To change a DMO’s filters, select the DMO and go to the Filters tab.
The available filter settings depend on the DMO category.
-
To edit the data graph’s properties, click Edit Properties.
You can’t edit some properties, such as the API name and data space.
-
Save your work.
- To save your changes without making the data graph active, click Save Draft. You can continue editing the data graph, but if you save a new draft, it overwrites the previous draft.
- To save the data graph and process the changes, click Save and Build.
During processing, the existing data graph remains active and shows a processing icon in its status. When processing is complete, the icon is removed, and the new data graph version is active.
If the build fails, select Refresh Now. In the meantime, the existing data graph remains active.
