            Create an External Activation Platform Using the Manual Workflow

            Create an external activation platform in a Data 360 Developer Edition org to help you reach your customers on your platform.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Developer Edition
            1. Click the gear icon and click Data 360 Setup.
            2. Click External Activation Platform.
            3. Click New.
            4. Click Manual.
            5. Enter information about the platform that you want displayed for the Data 360 admin. A preview appears on the right-hand side.
              Important
              Important The Developer Name you create in Data 360 is needed later when you create custom metadata.
            6. Click Next.
            7. For each field:
              1. Configure the required AccountId field by clicking the dropdown button. Click Edit.
              2. In the Help Text, provide instructions for your Data 360 admin on how to find their AccountId.
                Note
                Note The Value stored in the AccountId field is in the file path and metadata file so you know where to ingest the data.
              3. If you’d like to add more fields, click Save & Add. If you’re done adding fields, click Save & Close.
            8. Click Next.
            9. Select at least one Contact Point (also known as identifiers) you want to receive.
              Note
              Note Select a hash method for Phone Number and Email Address Contact Points. The email address is trimmed of whitespace and converted to lowercase.
            10. Click Next.
            11. Select your Activation Schedule, Delivery Platform, and Data Delivery Options.
              Warning
              Warning Enter the S3 Bucket Name where you want segments delivered. We ask for your S3 AccessKey and SecretKey when you create custom metadata.
            12. Click Save.

            Your external activation platform is created.
