            History Tracking Considerations

            Keep these considerations in mind when using history tracking.

            • History tracking is only available for calculated insights. History tracking isn't available for streaming or real time insighst.

            • Changes that affect the schema of a source calculated insight object (CIO), such as adding a new measure, truncate the history CIO data and remove existing history. History tracking resumes with the new schema on the next history job run.

              To retain history data, create a new source calculated insight and turn on history tracking for it.

            • History tracking doesn’t impact billing for the source calculated insight. History tracking CIO billing is under the Data Queries usage type. See Billing Considerations for Insights.
