Cumulus Activates Segments and Adds Attributes

Because the team has chosen to create a Collective Core Audience Model, the marketer repeats these steps for each activation in their data foundation.

1. After you publish segments, on the Activations tab, click New.
2. From the Activation list, select Full Core Individual Audience.
3. Select Marketing Cloud Engagement-Cumulus BU as the activation target or the destination of the segment data.
4. For the activation membership, select Individual, confirm, and click Next.
5. For the channels (contact points), select Email and SMS.
6. Confirm the path and source order for the email address and phone number, and then click Next.
7. Find and select this attribute: Policy Address
8. Click Save, then click Next.
9. Name the activation Individual Policy Information.
10. For a description, add Used for Marketing Cloud Engagement data foundation. Contains commonly used attributes for campaigns that reference an insurance policy.
11. Click Save.
12. Create an activation for the Unified Individual Policy Information and include only the recommended Policy Type attribute.
13. Repeat the steps for your Credit Information grouping of attributes.
