Query and Generate Insights in Data 360
With Data 360, you can query and calculate multidimensional metrics across your entire digital state to understand the customer journey. Use calculated, streaming, and real-time insights to drive personalized recommendations and automate service actions. You can transform raw data into actionable intelligence through a visual builder or SQL queries.
As of October 14, 2025, Data Cloud has been rebranded to Data 360. During this transition, you may see references to Data Cloud in our application and documentation. While the name is new, the functionality and content remains unchanged.
Enhance Your Data with Insights
With insights, you can define and calculate multidimensional metrics—like Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) or Satisfaction Scores (CSAT)—across your entire digital state.
You can generate insights dependent on your needs in one of these ways:
- Calculated Insights: Best for high-volume, historical data processing, and analyzing long-term engagement patterns.
- Streaming Insights: Process data as it arrives (in windows as short as 1 minute) from Web or Mobile SDKs. Streaming Insights are perfect for near real-time orchestration and data actions.
- Real-time Insights: Built on a Real-Time Data Graph to provide results in milliseconds. Use these insights for "right now" personalization, like checking if a customer’s current cart qualifies for a discount.
Query Your Data Your Way
Think of a query as asking a precise question of your data. Data 360 provides several tools to help you get the exact answers you need:
- Query Editor: A built-in tool to query harmonized data using Data 360 SQL.
- Integrated Apps: Connect with familiar tools like DBeaver to visually explore your data.
- Connect API: Link your mobile apps, websites, or third-party platforms to retrieve localized data.
- Query Federation: Access data managed by partners without duplicating it into Data 360.
Insights and Query Topics
- Enhance Data with Insights
With insight features, you can define and calculate multidimensional metrics from your entire digital state stored in Data 360. - Billing Considerations for Insights
Use of insights impacts the consumption of credits used for billing in these usage types. - Authoring Methods for Insights
Design and implement insights using visual building tools or direct SQL syntax to meet specific analytical requirements. Authors can transform raw data by joining, aggregating, or filtering datasets through node-based workflows and streaming functions. With these methods you can clone existing logic, save drafts, and apply complex SQL operators to generate real-time or calculated metrics. You gain the flexibility to build sophisticated data models from scratch or use pre-configured packages for faster deployment. - Authoring Considerations for Insights
With strategic planning your Data 360 insights deliver accurate, high-performance data visualizations for your business users. You can optimize your data processing with complex joins, relative time-windows, and advanced metric layering. - Managing Insights
Manage calculated insights to drive data-informed decisions with precision. Configure history tracking to monitor long-term metric trends and maintain data integrity. You can schedule automated processing, manually trigger updates, and validate results to ensure your team accesses accurate analytics. Efficiently organize your insight using the list view to edit or delete records as your business needs evolve. - Query Data in Data 360
A query is a structured request for specific information from Data 360. It's similar to asking a precise question of your data. Data 360 offers multiple ways to query your data.
