          Refresh a Data Graph

          Refresh a Data Graph

In Data 360, you set a refresh schedule for a data graph when you first create it, and later you can update the schedule. Refreshing a data graph updates its underlying data with changes that occurred since the last refresh. You can also manually refresh a data graph as needed.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User Permission Set Needed
          To refresh a data graph:

          Permission set:

          • Data Cloud Architect

A refresh takes the same amount of time as initially creating the data graph. Depending on the quantity of data to process, it can take 15 minutes or up to several hours. You can access data from the data graph while a refresh is in progress. When the refresh is complete, the data graph is updated with the most current data from its primary data model object (DMO) and related objects.

You can set different refresh intervals for data graphs. This allows you to tailor refresh frequency to business requirements or data update rates. Update or modify the schedule at any time from the data graph’s properties. Shorter and frequent refresh intervals can increase processing and operational costs due to more frequent data processing. In the list view, you can track the refresh schedule and status:

          • Schedule—Displays the refresh interval currently set.
          • Last Refreshed On—Displays the timestamp of the most recent refresh.

To schedule a refresh for a data graph:

          1. In Data Graphs, next to the data graph that you want to schedule, select Schedule.
          2. Select a refresh interval.
          3. Save your work.
While the data graph is refreshing, it has an active processing status.
After a data graph is created, you can’t change the refresh type between streaming and scheduled. To use a different refresh type, create a new data graph with the required configuration.

          Manually Refresh a Data Graph

To manually refresh a data graph, select Refresh Now.
