Refresh for Data Extension Data Streams

Refresh for Data Extension Data Streams

For a data extension data stream with the refresh mode of upsert, you can choose to perform either an incremental or a full data refresh.

To perform a data refresh, navigate to the Data Streams tab, select your data stream, and then click Refresh Now. You have two refresh modes.

Incremental Refresh: For each incremental refresh, new information is upserted and the old information is retained. You can use incremental refresh for scenarios where a new formula field is created and needs to be repopulated in your data stream.

Full Refresh: For each full refresh, all your data from Marketing Cloud Engagement is synced, including formulas and deletions. Any records that are currently present in the Data 360 DLOs, but are unavailable in Marketing Cloud, are permanently deleted from the DLO. You can use a full refresh when you want to ensure the data deleted from Marketing Cloud is reflected in the Data 360 DLO.

          Note
          Note

For a given Data Extension, you can perform a data refresh only once in 24 hours. Make sure that you are not modifying a datastream when a refresh is in progress. During the data refresh process, no new data will be ingested until the refresh completes.
