Schedule a Calculated Insight in Data 360

Schedule a Calculated Insight in Data 360

Schedule runs of a calculated insight to keep it up to date with data and process new changes in Data 360.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.

When you create a calculated insight, you can specify the schedule, start date and time, and end date. You can automatically process a calculated insight every 1, 6, 12, or 24 hours. To run a calculated insight manually, select the “Not Scheduled” option and publish the insight from the list view.

          Tip
Tip If you created a calculated insight before the availability of the schedule feature, it runs on the previous system schedule of four times a day.
          1. In Data Cloud, on the Calculated Insights tab, click New.
          2. Select a data space. The data space defines the available objects. Only data spaces you have access to are visible in this list.
          3. Select how you want to create the calculated insight.
            • Create with Builder
              1. Select the required objects.
              2. Add the aggregate node and measure.
              3. Apply the aggregate node.
              4. Click Save and Run.
              5. Enter the calculated insight name, and click Next.

Note: This doesn’t start a run of the calculated insight.

            • Create with SQL
              1. Enter the new insight SQL expression.
              2. Click Activate.
          4. In Schedule, select how often you want the insight to run.
Note: If a run doesn’t complete before the next scheduled run, the calculated insight skips the next scheduled run.
          5. Select the start date and time of the schedule.
Note: If you select a 15-minute time increment, Data 360 updates it to the next 30-minute increment. For example, 4:15 becomes 4:30.
Note: The user's time zone determines the calculated insight schedule.
          6. (Optional) Select an end time.
          7. Click Enable.
