When you create a search index configuration, Data 360 creates two additional data
model objects: a chunk data model object and an index data model object. These objects store the
corresponding data and generated embeddings in Data 360.
Each field that you supply a chunking strategy to is stored in the chunk data model object,
from which Data 360 references the chunked data.
The generated vector embeddings and a unique identifier for each chunk is stored in the index
data model object, from which Data 360 supplies search results.
Both chunk and index DMOs are Semantic type DMOs.
Chunk and Index Data Lake Objects Data Categories
When you create a search index configuration, Data 360 creates two additional data lake
objects: a chunk DLO and an index DLO.
Chunk DLOs are given the Content data category.
Index DLOs are given the Vector Embedding data category.
Chunk DMO The chunk data model object (CDMO) stores chunked content for each field from a chunked object.
Index DMO The index data model object (IDMO) stores generated vector embeddings.
