          Set a Primary Name Field

          Set a Primary Name Field

          Before setting the Primary Name Field, think about:

          Required Editions

          Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User Permissions Needed
          To create a primary name field:

          Permission set:

          • Data Cloud Architect

          AND

          Semantic Models object

          1. In Data Cloud, on the Semantic Layer tab, select the semantic model.
          2. In the Semantic Model Builder, click the table or logical view to open its metadata.
          3. Identify the field that you want to set as the Primary Name Field. In the action menu next to its name, click Edit Properties.
          4. In the Primary Name field, select the requested field or start typing its name to find it.
          5. Apply your change.

          You can Reset to the default field, or change your setting, after considering the applications on the Analytics Agent answers.
