Configure Harmonization for Unstructured Content
Use this workflow to create an unstructured content harmonization configuration for Data 360 content. The content must be ingested with a supported connector.
Required Editions
| Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability. |
| User Permissions Needed | |
|---|---|
| To view harmonized content | System admin profile OR Data 360 Architect permission set |
Step 1: Ingest Content with a Supported Connector
- Ingest content into Data 360 with any of the supported connectors. When you see the checkmark in the UDLO configuration screen to enable Harmonization, check the box. Keep in mind that enabling this feature in the connector uses system defaults which means AI Enrichments (Summary and Q&A) are disabled. If you are comfortable with these settings, you don’t need to proceed any further. If not, continue to complete the steps.
- Remember its name, as you will need to find the DMO in the Harmonization Dashboard.
- Confirm the UDMO has completed the ingestion process.
Step 2: Create a Harmonization Configuration and Pair It with a UDMO
Create a harmonization configuration, give it a name and pair it with a data model object
- From the App Launcher, open Data Cloud
- Click Content Processing (open the More menu, if you don’t see it).
- Click Harmonization.
- Click New. The Select the DMO to Harmonize screen appears.
- From the Data Space dropdown, select the data space you want to bring content from.
- To filter the DMOs from the search results you can search by the DMO name or search by the DMO Type. To search by the DMO name, put the name of the DMO into the search field. To search by DMO Type use the dropdown and select Unstructured to filter for unstructured DMOs.
- From the results table, select the row containing the DMO you want to harmonize.
- In the Harmonization Configuration Details section, enter a name for the Harmonization Configuration Name. The Harmonization Configuration API Name automatically populates with the name that you provide, but you can change it. The API name must be unique.
-
In the Enable AI Enrichment section, the Generate summary and
Q&A for the content option is activated. Keep it Active if you want
each harmonized content item to include an AI generated summary at the top of the document as
well as a list of Questions and Answers generated by AI for the document. If you do not want
to enable this feature, turn off the toggle and confirm it reads
Inactive.
Note:This feature is not completely enabled until you also enable Einstein Generative AI in your org. You can do this afterwards. Note also that this feature is subject to billing and consumption credits once enabled. Salesforce recommends changing the toggle to Inactive if you are not going to enable Einstein.
- Click Next.
Step 3: Review Details
Review details and start the harmonization process.
Step 4: Validate Rendering and View Harmonized Content
Validate the harmonized content rendered correctly and use the Content Viewer to see the results.
- Use the Harmonization dashboard to monitor the process.
- Go to Data Explorer, locate your project, click the harmonized data model object (HDMO) record and click View to preview.
-
Notice that the layout contains a summary and Q&A section (if you enabled it).
If you need to change the settings for the HDMO, delete the old HDMO and create a new one. To run the harmonization job at any time, check the HDMO from the dashboard and select Run Now. To delete an HDMO, select Delete.
