          Update a Schema

          Update a Schema

After your schema is created in Data 360, update formula fields or source fields as needed.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User Permissions Needed
          To update a schema

Data Cloud Architect permission set OR

Manage External Connections or Customize Application permissions

          1. To modify a formula, navigate to the field list on the data streams details page.
          2. Find the specific formula field you wish to modify and select Edit Formula from the dropdown.
          3. To overwrite the formula, update the formula syntax and click Save
            Note
Note Changes to formula logic are applied on a go-forward basis, not retroactively. To keep logic consistent across all data imports, import historical data into Data 360 after the change has been applied.
            Note
Note Formula fields that are designated as the Primary Key or Event Date Time field can’t be modified.
            Note
Note Any changes you make to fields or objects that have already been activated aren’t applied to existing fields. Instead, these changes create new fields in the data extension. New fields are updated on the data extension upon the next refresh after field creation.
