View Content Viewer User Engagement Insights in Data Explorer
Data 360 automatically creates an engagement telemetry data stream and a data lake
object (DLO) to track user engagement with the Content Viewer. The Content Viewer is available
only for harmonized content. You can view engagement data from the Data Explorer tab.
Search and select the relevant DLO associated with your harmonized Unstructured Data Model
Object (UDMO) and engagement data stream. Engagement DLOs have the label “Engagements”
indicated in their name.
The list of telemetry events that have been fired for the harmonized UDMO opens in a table
view.
You can configure the columns of this table to view file attributes you’re interested in. To
add or remove columns from your table view, click Edit Columns on the
top right. Move any column from the left to the right to add it to your view, or from the right
to the left to remove it from your view. For example, to include events from a specific time in
your table view, make sure the DateTime column is included in your
view.
You can filter the columns you’re interested in. Click the filtering icon on the top right,
and click Add Filter to select from the Field
list the event attribute you’re interested in. For example, to get a filtered view of user
engagement with content coming from a specific source, select the Data
Source filter under Field, select equals as the
Operator, and enter the content source (for example, Google Drive)
under Value.
With the engagement data displayed, you can analyze how your users interact with your
harmonized content. For example, you can find the content source that users engage with most.
