          Clone a Data 360 Sandbox

          Clone a Data 360 Sandbox

Create a Data 360 sandbox by cloning an existing configured sandbox to save time and maintain environment consistency. Cloning saves time by automatically copying data model objects, relationships, identity resolution rules, and data stream definitions from the source sandbox to the clone.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User Permission Set Needed
To clone a Data 360 sandbox:

          Permission set:

          • Data Cloud Architect
          • Manage Sandboxes

          Before you begin:

          • Provision Data 360 in the source sandbox.
          • Check your org has available sandbox licenses for the clone type you want to create.
          • Log in to the default data space.
          1. Log in to your production org or the org containing the source sandbox.
          2. From Setup, enter Sandboxes in the Quick Find box, then select Sandboxes.
          3. Select the sandbox that you want to clone and click Clone.

If Clone is unavailable, verify that the source sandbox is in Active status. You can't clone a sandbox during refresh, maintenance, or deletion.

          4. Enter a name and description for the new sandbox.
          5. Select the sandbox type (Developer, Developer Pro, Partial Copy, or Full) and click Create.
Avoid making changes in your source org during the sandbox cloning process. When your sandbox is ready for use, you receive an email notification that your sandbox has completed copying.
          6. After the cloning process is complete, log in to the new sandbox from your production org just like any other sandbox.

Verify that the clone copied all configurations in Data Cloud Setup.
