Performance and Scale of Your Experience Cloud Site

Performance and Scale of Your Experience Cloud Site

With Experience Cloud, you can build a wide range of business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) applications. Examples include help forums, self-service portals, partner and channel websites, commerce and ticketing stores, and vaccination and appointment sites. Many of these sites require high user volume and they experience high traffic. We extensively test every standard template, component, and product for performance and scale, but standard capabilities can be extended to build highly customized experiences. Customizations, high user volume, and high traffic, and more can impact a site’s performance. Salesforce offers a range of features focused on supporting performance and scale regardless of your site’s requirements.

          Required Editions

Available in: Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
Applies to: LWR and Aura sites

For some sites, we suggest enabling performance and scale optimizations to ensure that your site meets your performance needs. Work with your Salesforce representative to identify whether your site requires further configurations.

Why You Should Evaluate Your Site

Site patterns determine which performance optimization tools are most beneficial. Do site visitors view or create content? Does your site support a high volume of users or a high amount of traffic? Does your site use many roles? Salesforce has created performance tools to address the impact of these different site patterns and more.

For examples of Experience Cloud site types and the traffic and transaction patterns most likely to affect performance, see Which Performance Tools Do I Need Based on My Experience Cloud Site?

What Should You Keep in Mind?

Consider using performance tools if your site has these attributes.

          • You expect a large number of site users
          • You expect a high amount of traffic or transactions
          • Your site requires many roles
          • You’re customizing the standard Salesforce experience
          • You’re using additional services at scale

How Can You Improve Performance and Scale?
