          Configure Patient Medication Manager for Medication Management

          Add the Patient Medication Manager Lightning component to person account record pages so that your clinicians can start using Medication Management.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience

          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud

          Based on your organization’s needs, choose to show medication reconciliation, medication therapy management, or both sections.

          Note
          Note Make sure you add the Patient Medication Manager component to a person account record page. Patient Medication Manager isn’t compatible with business account record pages, even if you can place the component on them.
          1. Open a person account record page in the Lightning App Builder in one of these ways:
            • (Recommended.) On a person account page in your org, select Edit Page from the Setup menu.
            • From Setup, go to Account in the Object Manager and select Lightning Record Pages. Then, select the appropriate person account record page and click Edit.
            • From Setup, in the Quick Find box, find Lightning App Builder. Then click Edit for the appropriate person account record page.
          2. Place the Patient Medication Manager component on your record page layout.
          3. Select the component you placed on your page layout to show its properties.
          4. Select a flow from the Add Medication Flow dropdown. You can select the default Add Patient Medication flow or the Add Basic Medication Details flow, or you can select a compatible custom flow that you configured.
          5. Select a flow from the Medication Therapy Review Flow dropdown. You can select the default Start Medication Therapy Review flow or a compatible custom flow that you configured.
          6. Select the tabs you want to view in the Patient Medication Manager.
            • For Medication Reconciliation, choose Yes or No next to Show Medication List and Show Medication Reconciliation.
            • For Medication Therapy Management, choose Yes or No next to Show Medication List, Show Comprehensive Medication Review, and Show Targeted Medication Review.
          7. Select the fields to include in the Patient Medication Manager.
            • For Medication Reconciliation, click Select in the Medication Reconciliation Recommendation Fields and Previous Recommendation Fields sections and choose fields.
            • For Medication Therapy Management, click Select in the Medication Therapy Statement Review Fields, Clinical Detected Issue Fields, and Clinical Detected Issue Detail Fields sections and choose fields.
            Note
            Note Ensure that you’ve already selected fields from the Medication Request Fields, Medication Dispense Fields, Patient Medication Dosage Fields, and Medication Statement Fields sections when configuring the component for Medication Review.
          8. Sort the selected fields as required, and then click OK.
          9. Save your configuration and activate your page.

          That’s it! You don’t need to perform any extra setup for RxNorm. Your users can now start using Medication Management to perform medication reconciliation and medication therapy review.
