            View and Assign Health Cloud Permission Sets and Permission Set Licenses

            Permission sets give users access to objects and fields, custom metadata, and other app and system settings. Permission set licenses grant users access to features that aren’t included in their user license. To work in Health Cloud, users need the appropriate permission sets and permission set licenses.

            To assign permission set licenses or permission sets: Manage Users

            You can assign any number of permission set licenses to your users. However, all internal users must have at least the Health Cloud Platform permission set license to use Health Cloud. This license provides base Health Cloud platform capabilities, including the Provider Management data model.

            Assign additional permission sets depending on what your users need to do. For example, assign the Contact Center for Health Cloud permisson set license to users who require access to the Contact Center in Health Cloud to manage member records.

            The Permission Sets page in Setup describes each permission set and shows the permission set license related to each permission set. From the Permission Sets page, sort the License column to view which permission sets match which permission set licenses.

            Some permission set licenses and permission sets directly match each other. For example, the Contact Center for Health Cloud permisson set license directly matches the Contact Center for Health Cloud permission set.

            However, some permission set licenses match to more than one permission set. For example, the Health Cloud Platform permission set license includes these permission sets:

            • Actionable Segmentation for Health Cloud: Grants Health Cloud users access to Actionable Segmentation.

            • Assessment Envelope: Grants access to Assessment Envelope objects and features.

            • Health Cloud Appointment Management: Grants access to Intelligent Appointment Management functionality for enterprise schedulers.

            • Health Cloud Foundation: Grants read access to additional Health Cloud platform capabilities, including the Provider Management data model.

            • Health Cloud Member Services: Grants read access to Health Insurance and Utilization Management records.

            • Health Cloud Social Determinants: Grants read access to Health Cloud Social Determinants records.

            • Health Cloud Utilization Management: Grants read access the Health Insurance records and create, read, and update access to Utilization Management records.

            • Health Cloud Video Calls: Grants access to the Health Cloud video calls feature.

            The Health Cloud Foundation permission set is a broad permission set that includes system permissions such as Access Actionable Relationship Center, Access Life Events or Business Milestone Component, Discovery Framework Platform User, and Manage Health Cloud (which allows a user to create, edit, and delete Health Cloud data). Open this permission set and then click View Summary to view more details such as user and object permissions.

            Note The Health Cloud for Experience Cloud Site permission set license provides access to Health Cloud objects and features for site users. This license is currently unavailable for Partner Community users.

            In Setup, you can assign permission sets and permission set licenses to your users in a few ways. Note that when you assign a permission set to a user, the permission set license is also automatically assigned to the user.

            • From the Permission Sets page, you can select a permission set to view its details and assign it to multiple users.

            • From the Users page, you can select a user to view his or her details and assign multiple permission set licenses and permission sets to the user.

            • From the Company Information page, you can select a permission set license to view its details and assign it to multiple users.

            1. View permission set licenses and assign them to multiple users in your org.
              1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and then select Company Information.
              2. Select the Permission Set Licenses related list and click Go to list to see the complete list.
              3. Click any license name to see its details.
              4. Click Assign Users.
              5. Select the users, click Assign, and then click Done.
            2. View permission sets and assign them to multiple users in your org.
              1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and then select Permission Sets. The page shows the permission set license related to the permission set.
              2. Click any permission set label to view the permission set’s details.
              3. Click View Summary to view details such as user and object permissions.
              4. Go back to the permission set details page, and click Manage Assignments.
              5. Click Add Assignments.
              6. Select the users, click Assign, and then click Done.
            3. Assign multiple permission sets and permission set licenses to a single user in your org.
              1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, search for and then select Users.
              2. Click any user name to view his or her details, and then assign permission sets or permission set licenses.
              3. To assign permission sets: Select Permission Set Assignments, click Edit Assignments, and then move the permission sets you want to assign to the user from the Available Permission Sets list to the Enabled Permission Sets list. Click Save.
              4. To assign permission set licenses: Select Permission Set License Assignments, click Edit Assignments, and then select Enabled for the permission set licenses you want to assign to the user. Click Save.

            To remove a permission set license from a user, remove the assigned permission set that requires the license, then remove the assigned permission set license.
