          Import Data for Provider Cards

          Import Data for Provider Cards

The data that helps users identify practitioners is stored in the provider objects. To create these records quickly, you can use Composite API requests to create and link multiple records using a single API call.

For example, data for healthcare provider Dr. Scott Kaplan is spread across these records: Account, Contact, Healthcare Provider, Person Education, Healthcare Provider NPI, Healthcare Practitioner Facility, Healthcare Provider Specialty, Healthcare Facility Network, and Healthcare Provider Taxonomy. That’s a lot of records. The Composite resource in REST API lets you create these records in a single API call. In fact, you can create 200 records per call.

For an example of how to use Composite resource, see Use Composite API Requests to Import Data for Provider Relationship Cards in the Health Cloud Developer Guide.
