Set Up Data Streams and Custom Data Model Objects Manually
If the Unified Health Scoring data kit doesn’t have a data stream you need, or if you’d
prefer not to use the data kit, you can configure your own data streams and custom data model
objects manually.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health
Cloud
User Permissions Needed
To manage Data 360
Data Cloud Architect permission set
In the App Launcher, find and select Data Streams.
Click New.
Select Salesforce CRM and click Next.
Click All Objects, select an object to create a data stream for, and
click Next.
You can only select objects with Read and View All Records access in the Data Cloud
Salesforce Connector permission set.
Select the fields you need in the data stream and click Next.
You can only select fields with Read access in the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector
permission set.
Deploy your data stream.
After a data stream is created, go to its record page, and click Start Data
Mapping.
Click Select Objects, then click Custom Data
Model.
Click New Custom Object.
Select the fields for your custom data model object and click
Save.
You only see the fields you selected for your data stream here.
Wait for the system to map the fields in your data stream to the fields in your custom data
model. This mapping can take a couple of minutes.
Review the mapped fields and click Save.
Repeat these steps for each object needed for your calculations.
Now that your data streams and data model objects are set up, you can configure your
calculated insights.
