Preview an Approval Workflow

You are here:

Preview an Approval Workflow

To visualize the approval journey of your submission, add the Approval Workflow component to your record page. The preview sorts steps by their chain name and shows them in their sequence order.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions where Advanced Approvals is enabled

User Permissions Needed
To customize record pages in Lightning App Builder:	Customize Application
To preview the approval submission from a related record:	Run Flows

Add the Approval Workflow Lightning component to a record page.

After adding the component, verify the approval flow's API name. If the flow API name is incorrect, the preview fails.
Open the related record.
Click Preview.
