Configure Record Association Builder for Automotive Cloud
Define rules and criteria for automatically assigning records to branch units in your
company. The Record Association Builder works with Branch Management seamlessly. You can define
your own criteria for automatically linking records like accounts, leads, opportunities, and cases
with the branches that work with them.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To configure Record Association Builder:
View Setup and Configuration, Customize Application
Complete all steps to configure Record Association Builder for your Automotive Cloud org.
To allow users the permission to work with Record Association Builder, follow these
steps:
From Setup, enter Permission in the Quick Find box, and then
select Permission Sets.
Select the Automotive Foundation User permission set.
Click Clone.
Enter a name such as Branch Management and Record Association Builder for
Automotive.
Enter a description.
Click Save.
Click System Permissions and click Edit.
Select Enabled for User license to access Record Association
Builder in Financial Services Cloud.
Important The user permission name specifies Financial Services Cloud but this
user permission can be used in Automotive Cloud.
Click Save.
You can now assign this permission set to all users who need to use Record Association
Builder features.
To provide users the required access to Record Association Builder objects, follow these
steps:
From Setup, enter Profiles in Quick Find, then select
Profiles.
Click the Edit link next to the profile you want to change.
Click Object Settings.
Validate that this profile has Read, Create, Edit, and Delete permissions to the Branch
Unit object. If not, grant those permissions and click Save.
Repeat this step for Branch Unit Business Members, and Branch Unit Related Records.
To determine which records get created or updated ad linked to branches, you can define
association criteria on the Record Association Builder page in Setup, and activate the
criteria.
