          Schedule Vehicle Service Appointments as an Internal User

          As a service agent or a service manager at an original equipment manufacturer company, you can schedule vehicle service appointments on behalf of customers. Providing the right service at the right time increases customer satisfaction scores and improves a customer’s post-sales experience. You can use an OmniScript-based guided flow to schedule a service appointment directly from a vehicle record page. Select the service center, the type of service, the technician who assists with the appointment, and the customer’s preferred time slot.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
          User Permissions Needed
          To schedule a vehicle service: Create access on Service Appointment

          Make sure the business profile records are linked to active service territory records for all the dealer accounts that provide vehicle repair and maintenance services. Also, make sure all the required work type group records of category Vehicle Service are linked to that service territory.

          1. From the App Launcher, search for and select Vehicles.
          2. Open a record from the list view.
          3. Click Quick Actions and click Schedule Service Appointment.
          4. Select the type of service that a customer wants.
            All active work type groups of category Vehicle Service are displayed.
          5. Click Next.
          6. Search for a service center location by typing in the dealer’s name or the city related to the service territory.
            The Name and City fields on a service territory record are used by the flow to find relevant records.
          7. Select a dealer location.
          8. Click Next.
          9. Select a technician who performs the service.
            All service resources whose skills match the specific work type for the dealer’s service territory are displayed.
          10. Click Next.
          11. Select a date and time when the vehicle service appointment is scheduled.
            The time slots displayed are based on the service representative’s availability.
          12. Click Next.
          13. Review the appointment details and enter notes if necessary.
          14. To complete the booking, click Confirm.
            If the appointment is scheduled, you see a confirmation message on the next screen.

          Go to the Vehicle Service Appointments related list on a Vehicle record or the Service Appointments page to view the list of scheduled appointments.
