Set Up Operating Hours in Automotive Cloud

Operating hours help identify the availability of a resource for a work type in a service territory. Define time slots for service territories, work types, and service territory members to ensure the right resource availability for an appointment. You can also link holidays to the service territories to avoid bookings on days when the service territory isn’t operational. For example, set up operating hours for the San Francisco Dealer Showroom service territory and link July 4 as a holiday. Define time slots for each weekday such as 8 AM to 6 PM.

When you set up operating hours for a service territory, all service resources that are assigned as members of the territory inherit the operating hours. But, you can also set up operating hours for a specific service territory member. For example, some of the service technicians in the San Francisco Dealer Showroom aren’t available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additionally, you can set up operating hours for a specific work type to indicate that a particular type of job is performed during selected hours at a particular location. For example, the accessories fitment for vehicles task isn’t performed at the San Francisco Dealer Showroom before 10 AM.
