          Configure Timelines for Automotive Cloud

          Track key events and activities related to a vehicle with the Timeline component on a Vehicle record page. A user can get information about upcoming, past, and current activities related to a vehicle from one timeline. Timeline eliminates the necessity of searching for information in multiple places by showing a vehicle’s entire activity history in one place. Customize the timeline as per your company’s requirements and ensure that each user finds the most relevant and useful information.

          • Create a Timeline Using Cases and Engagements in Automotive Cloud
            Create a timeline for a Contact record and show information from engagement interactions and cases. You can select the fields to show for each timeline entry, and even show fields from other related objects and custom objects.
          • Create a Timeline Using Vehicle Asset Information in Automotive Cloud
            Create a timeline for a Vehicle record and show information from the asset record that’s related to the vehicle. Bring in information from asset warranties, asset account and contact participants, and asset milestones on one interactive timeline on the corresponding Vehicle record. You can also enhance your timeline view to show information from custom objects, location, or vehicle definition.
          • Add Timelines to a Vehicle Record in Automotive Cloud
            Add the Timeline component to a Vehicle record page to create a chronological view of events and activities derived from warranties, stakeholder information, asset-related information, and more. If you have multiple Vehicle page layouts for different users, such as dealers, service agents, and sales executives, make sure that you add relevant timelines to the page layouts. For example, if you create a timeline that shows information about warranties, recalls, and services, you can add the timeline to the Vehicle page layout for the service technician and service dealer profiles.
