You can create your own data kit and add data streams and calculated insights to it if
you don’t want to use the predefined Automotive data kit. For example, you can create data
streams to map the custom objects in Automotive Cloud that your company uses to the data model
objects in Data Cloud, or you can create calculated insights based on your requirements. For
such scenarios, create a data kit to add your own data streams and calculated
insights.

User Permissions Needed
To use Data Cloud for Automotive Cloud:
Salesforce org: Automotive Cloud
AND
Data Cloud org: Data Cloud Admin
Make sure that you create the data streams and the calculated insights before you create a
data kit.
Go to Data Cloud Setup.
In Tools, click Data Kits.
Click New.
Name the data kit, and add a description, if necessary.
Save your changes.
To add data streams to your data kit, click Add under Data
Streams.
Name the data stream bundle, and select the data streams.
All data stream related objects and relationships are included in the bundle.
Click Next.
Review and confirm the data stream bundle details.
To add data model objects, click Add under Data Models.
To add calculated insights, click Add under Calculated
Insights.
Save your changes.
Publish the data kit.
Your data kit is created. You can now publish it in Package Manager. Deploy the data kit as a
package to any target org of your choice.
