          Show Custom Calculated Insights on the Vehicle Page

          Sales managers and service managers at Neo Motors can track multiple calculated insights on a Vehicle page in the Automotive app.

          Scenario

          The admin at Neo Motors creates a few custom calculated insights in Data Cloud that provide insights into revenue and profit. The sales and service managers want to see the calculated values for these calculated insights on the Vehicle page.

          Here’s how these insights help sales managers take data-driven decisions.

          • Quarterly Revenue from Repair and Maintenance: Sales managers can track the aggregated revenue generated per vehicle for each quarter based on periodic checkups, maintenance and repair work, and service plans.
          • Dealer Based Sales Profit Margin: Sales managers can track the profit percentage based on sales of all accessories, subscriptions, parts, and services from dealerships.
          • Direct Sales Profit Margin: Sales managers can track the profit percentage based on the sales of all accessories, subscriptions, parts, and services from direct orders.

          Understand the Properties of the Card

          You can specify these properties in the Lightning App Builder for each calculated insight value shown on the card.

          Property Description
          Calculated Insight Name The API name of the calculated insight that’s the source of the metric value.
          Calculated Insight Display Name The name for the metric that’s shown on the card.
          Calculated Insight Unit of Measure The unit of measure for the metric value.
          Calculated Insight Help Text The help text that’s shown as a tooltip when a user hovers over the Info icon next to the metric.

          Review the Card Configuration

          To help sales managers view the required calculated insights, the admin must add the DataCloudVisualizationCalculatedInsightsParentCard flexcard to the Vehicle record page, and specify the card properties.

          The admin edits the Vehicle record page to open the Lightning App Builder. They drag the Flexcard component to the page and select the DataCloudVisualizationParentCard flexcard. They specify these properties before they save and activate the changes.
