            Automotive Data Kit

            The Automotive Cloud data kit gives you a head start with easy-to-use predefined calculated insights and data streams. Use the data streams in the data kit to bring in data from the Automotive app into Data Cloud. Harmonize, segment, and unify the data in Data Cloud so that you can build segments and calculated insights. Use the calculated insights in the data kit to get an aggregated view of customer and vehicle lifetime value, and customer satisfaction metrics. You can use the Automotive data kit as the starting point for your implementation of Data Cloud and then you can extend or customize the data streams and calculated insights as required.

            • Install the Automotive Data Kit
              A data kit helps you easily package Data Cloud components such as data model objects, data streams, and calculated insights, and then readily deploy the components in an org of your choice. You can install the Datakit Package for Automotive Cloud in your org, deploy the data streams, and activate the calculated insights.
            • Deploy Data Streams from the Automotive Data Kit
              Create a data stream to connect your Salesforce org to Data Cloud. After you install the Automotive data kit in your org, deploy the predefined data stream mappings that you need. These data streams collect data from Automotive Cloud and store them in Data Cloud. This information is then used to run calculated insights and create further segmentations and transformations in Data Cloud.
            • Automotive Cloud Data Streams
              Automotive Data Kit contains predefined data streams that map data model objects in Data Cloud to similar objects in Automotive Cloud. The data streams enable a flow of near real-time data related to sales, service, finance, and other aspects of your automotive business from Automotive Cloud to Data Cloud. The fields on the data model objects are mapped to the corresponding fields on the source objects in Automotive Cloud. You can map other fields as required, or delete the mappings that you don’t use.
            • Activate the Automotive Cloud Calculated Insights
              Create and activate the calculated insights from the installed Automotive data kit package in Data Cloud.
            • Automotive Cloud Calculated Insights
              The Automotive Data Kit contains predefined calculated insights that help automotive companies analyze the data related to customer satisfaction, vehicle and parts sales, and customer lifetime value. The calculated insights are multidimensional metrics created by using complex calculations and logic on the entire digital state in Data Cloud. The insights are automatically recalculated when the base data changes and companies can act on the insights in near real time.
