Create Catalogs and Categories for Vehicle and Asset Lending
Create a product catalog and its related categories to categorize financial products in
Automotive Cloud. For example, a banking institution can create a catalog to group all financial
products. Users can further classify the suite of products with categories such as home loans,
vehicle loans, and personal loans.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To create product catalogs and categories:
Product Catalog Management Designer permission set
From the App Launcher, select Product Catalog Management, and then
click Catalogs.
From the catalog list view page, click New.
Enter a name and description for the product.
For name, you can enter Financial Products.
To make the catalog valid for a specific duration, select a start date and end date.
For Catalog Type, select Sales.
Save your changes.
Go to the Categories tab of the Catalog record.
Click Create Category.
Enter a name and description.
For name, you can enter Vehicle Financial Products.
Enter the sort order of the category in the hierarchy.
The sort order determines the order in which the categories are shown to customers and
agents during the application intake process.
Select Show In Menu.
Fill other details as necessary.
Save your changes.
