            Create Product Classifications for Vehicle and Asset Lending

            Create product classifications for the different types of financial products that you offer for sale to your customers. When you relate specific attributes to a product classification, you can differentiate products at a granular level. For example, create a product classification for all loan type products and relate attributes such as loan term, maximum loan amount, and minimum loan amount. For each attribute, you can also specify a default value. All products that you create based on a classification automatically inherit the attributes.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
            User Permissions Needed
            To create product classifications: Product Catalog Management Designer permission set
            1. From the App Launcher select Product Catalog Management, and then click Product Classifications.
            2. From the classifications list view page, click New.
              1. Enter a name and code for the product classification.
                For name, you can enter Vehicle Loan.
              2. For status, select Active.
              3. Save your changes.
            3. Go to the Attributes tab of the classification record.
              1. Click Assign.
              2. Select Assign individual attributes.
              3. Click Next.
              4. Click Uncategorized.
                All active attributes are displayed for selection.
              5. Select the checkboxes beside all the attributes and click Assign.
              6. Click the hyperlink for the MaxLoanAmount or click in the row and click Edit.
              7. For Default Value, enter a number.
                For example, enter 90,000.
              8. Save your changes.
              9. Repeat steps 3f-3h for the MinLoanAmount, OfferValidPeriod, and LoanTerm attributes.
              10. For the OmniScriptName attribute, enter default value as AutomotiveLending_SelfIntakeApplication_MultiLanguage.
              11. Save your changes.
            4. Repeat the steps to create a product classification for Vehicle Lease and assign the same attributes.
              Provide different default values as required. For the OmniScriptName attribute, keep the same default value as step 3j.
