Create fees and relate them to financial products such as vehicle loans and leases. Fees
can be of multiple types, such as late payment fees, prepayment penalty, and origination fees.
During application intake, a customer or an agent can view the applicable fees on the FAQ tab of a
product.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To create product fees:
Product Catalog Management Designer permission set
Make sure your admin has set up picklist values for the Type field on the Product Fee
object.
From the App Launcher select Product Catalog Management, then select
Product Fees.
On the product fees list view page, click New.
For Frequency, select One Time or
Monthly.
Enter an amount.
Enter a valid start date and a valid end date.
When a user views the FAQ tab of a product, only the fees that are effective for the
current date are displayed. For example, a customer viewing the FAQ tab on August 01, 2024
would only see fees which have a valid start date before August 01, 2024 and a valid end date
after August 01, 2024. To create fees that are evergreen, keep the Valid End Date field
empty.
Select the type of product fees.
For Product, select a financial product such as Automotive Loan or Automotive Lease.
Save your changes.
Repeat the steps to create other types of fees or for different amounts.
