Configure Data Use Purposes for Automotive Lending
Define the purposes for collecting information from applicants before you seek their
consent during the application intake process for Automotive Lending. Data use purposes can
optionally link to data use legal basis records, which identify specific legal
regulations.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To create data use legal bases:
Create and Edit access on Data Use Legal Basis
To create data use purposes:
Create and Edit access on Data Use Purpose
To create authorization form data uses:
Create and Edit access on Authorization Form Data Use
From the App Launcher, find and select Data Use Legal Basis.
On the Data Use Legal Basis list page, click New.
Enter a descriptive name.
Enter a source name that identifies a legal regulatory authority.
Save your changes.
From the App Launcher, find and select Data Use Purposes.
On the Data Use Purposes list page, click New.
Enter a descriptive name.
Select the Data Use Legal Basis record created in Step 1.
Save your changes.
From the App Launcher find and select the data use purpose that you created in the previous
step.
Go to the Related tab.
In the Authorization Form Data Use section, click New.
On the data use purpose record, go to the Details tab, and select Is
Active.
Save your changes.
