          Enable Features for Vehicle and Asset Lending

          Review the features that you must enable to use Vehicle and Asset Lending. Understand the billable usage types for which consumption is calculated.

          Enable Features

          Enable the following features to get started with vehicle and asset lending processes.

          Before you enable the features as an admin, make sure you clone the Vehicle and Asset Lending permission set, enable the Digital Lending Admin User and Use Funding Workbench for Automotive Finance system permission, and assign the cloned permission set to yourself. You must also have the System Administrator profile.

          • Setup> Feature Settings> Lending> Vehicle and Asset Lending
          • Feature Settings> Lending> Vehicle and Asset Lending> Funding Workbench
          Note
          Note If you’re a captive finance company who only requires Automotive loans and leases, make sure you turn on Automotive, Digital Lending, and Vehicle and Asset Lending. If you’re a banking institution where automotive loans and leases are part of your larger product portfolio, you don't need to turn on Automotive.

          Enable these features to set up and configure key processes for automotive loans and leases.

          To control access to party information to different groups, enable or disable these features on the General Settings page under Financial Services Cloud in Setup as recommended here.

          Feature Name Recommended Action Description
          Turn on access to Identity Document, Party Identity Verification, Party Profile Address, Party Profile Risk, and Party Screening Summary Disable These records contain personal information related to credit checks of customers. You can give object permissions only to users or user profiles who conduct KYC screening in your org.
          Turn on access to Party Credit Profile, Party Expense, Party Income, Person Employment, Party Financial Asset, and Party Financial Liability Enable When users have access to Party Profile records, they automatically get access to these related records. To prevent specific users from accessing these related records, modify their object permissions by customizing the profile or permission set.
          Turn off access to Party Credit Profile, Party Expense, Party Income, Person Employment, Party Financial Asset, and Party Financial Liability for Experience Cloud users Enable Restrict Experience Cloud users from getting access to all related records that contain sensitive party information and personal financial information.
          Turn on access to Party Credit Profile, Party Expense, Party Income, Person Employment, Party Financial Asset, and Party Financial Liability for Partner Users in Experience Cloud Enable While customer users are restricted from accessing sensitive party information and personal financial information, open up the access if required to dealer users so that they can analyze the eligibility of applicants.
          Turn on read only digital lending party related records Enable When the Party Profile record is marked read-only, the related records are also marked read-only and can't be edited by users. Assign the Digital Lending Edit Read Only Party Related Records user permission to the group of users who can override this behavior and edit the records.

          On the Object Enablement Settings page under Compliant Data Sharing in Setup, enable access to these objects for CRM users and Experience Cloud users.

          Usage-Based Licensing

          The application form records with usage type Vehicle and Asset Loan Application are tracked for usage-based consumption and billing. A quantity of Loan Credits is included with certain Salesforce Services, with the specific entitlement indicated on the Usage Details table on the Order Form for such Services. You consume the loan credits at the applicable multiplier rate based on the Usage Type. Contact your Salesforce account executive to know the multiplier rate for the specific usage type.

          Usage Type Description
          Loan Origination Usage is calculated based on the number of loan applications submitted to the Digital Lending application when you are not using Vehicle and Asset Lending. Use this to process home loans, student loans, personal loans, and similar offerings.
          Vehicle and Asset Loan Application Usage is calculated based on the number of loan applications submitted to the Digital Lending application when you are using Vehicle and Asset Lending. Use this to process vehicle and asset loans and leases.
          Note
          Note Contact your Salesforce executive to purchase an add-on that provide base entitlements at org level. You can purchase additional addons based on your consumption requirement.
