            Considerations for Fleet Management in Automotive Cloud

            Review the considerations for managing fleets in Automotive Cloud.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
            • If you want to capture fleet information for assets that are not vehicles, such as shipping containers, you can only select the Asset field when you create a Fleet Asset record and leave the Vehicle field blank. You can also specify the Asset Usage value for each fleet asset.
            • When an Asset record isn’t related to a Vehicle record yet and you create a Fleet Asset record, the fields related to a vehicle don’t get populated. When you relate the asset to a vehicle later, you must edit the Fleet Asset record and select the Vehicle record so that the Vehicle Distance Covered and Residual fields get populated.
            • Fleet, Fleet Asset, and Fleet Participant are available for Experience Cloud users.
