            Create Fleets in Automotive Cloud

            Create a fleet to represent a group of vehicles that operate together or are owned by the same account.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.
            User Permissions Needed
            To create fleets: Use Fleet Management Features
            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Fleets.
            2. Click New.
            3. Enter a name for the fleet.
            4. Search for and select a Parent Fleet if applicable.
            5. For Effective Start Date, select the date from when the fleet is operational.
            6. For Effective End Date, select the date till when the fleet is operational.
            7. For Current Owner, select an Account.
            8. For Type, select one of the following:
              • Employee
              • Material
              • Executive
              • Commercial
            9. For Status, select Active or Inactive.
            10. For Location, select the location where the fleet is either registered or has its headquarters.
            11. Click Save.
              The Active Asset Count field is automatically updated based on how many active Fleet Asset records are related to the fleet.

            You can create record alerts and action plans for a fleet.
