Set Up Real-Time Status Check of Vehicles
Configure real-time telemetry for vehicles. You can get the status of a vehicle in real time via an external integration to the telematics system. On a Vehicle record page, add Flexcards that show vehicle health and performance metrics such as tire pressure, engine temperature, and airflow rate. Or use the Flexcard to represent the digital state of a physical vehicle by tracking metrics such as the battery charge level, latitude, longitude, ignition status, and air conditioner status.
- Create a Named Credential To Get Vehicle Status
Turn on Automotive Cloud Integrations and use the predefined app and its named credential to connect your external telematics system to Salesforce. Use the app to get vehicle metrics and status in real time from the telematics provider via MuleSoft. - Create an Integration Definition To Get Vehicle Status
Create an integration definition by using a predefined Apex class to connect Automotive Cloud with an external telematics system via MuleSoft, and show real-time vehicle metrics to users. You can use this integration definition, or create your own. Depending on your choice of telematics provider and integration layer, you can create an integration definition with the required attributes. - Clone and Activate Flexcards to Get Vehicle Status
Clone the predefined Flexcards and activate the new cards before you show vehicle status and metrics on the Vehicle Status Panel. - Configure Flexcard on Vehicle Page to Get Real-Time Status and Diagnostics
Add the ConnectedServicesVehicleStatusParentCard Flexcard to a Vehicle record page. The Flexcard shows key metrics of a vehicle’s real-time state as shared by the telematics provider. Users can also refresh the data on demand right from the Flexcard. - Show Additional Vehicle Health Metrics on a Flexcard
The ConnectedServicesVehicleStatusParentCard Flexcard can show up to five metrics on a Vehicle record page but you can customize the Flexcard to show additional metrics.
