Search for and Transfer Vehicles in Automotive Cloud
Search for vehicles based on different criteria such as model name, transmission type,
brand, or fuel type. Limit or expand your search by specifying the maximum distance range from a
relative location. After you get the relevant results, group and sort them to focus on the
vehicles that match your requirements. Finally, trigger an action to quickly transfer multiple
vehicles to a destination location.

To use vehicle inventory search:
Use Criteria-Based Search and Filter
The search results show the records stored in the Vehicle Searchable Field object. So
make sure your admin runs the Update Vehicle Searchable Field Values Data Processing Engine
definition regularly so that you always see the updated results.
Open the Home page or any other record page in the Automotive app where the admin has
added the Criteria-Based Search and Filter component.
If you are a partner or customer user, log in to the Experience Cloud portal and
locate the component on the page.
In the Search Criteria section, enter values or select picklist values for the fields that
you want to apply for search.
Use the Relative Location and Maximum Distance Range fields if you want to limit the search
within a specific area.
Review the records in the Search Results section and click on record hyperlinks to view
details.
Select a Grouping and Aggregation Criteria to filter the results.
Select the checkboxes beside the search result records and click the Vehicle Transfer
action. Make sure the selected records belong to the same source location.
The name of the action depends on how the admin has named the Search Action
Configuration record.
Note The action is only available to internal users. Partner and
customer users can't transfer the vehicles.
Select a destination location and click Next.
Review the list of serialized products that you are transferring.
Fix the errors for the serialized products where either the status is not marked Available
or where the source and destination locations match.
Click Done.
You get an in-app notification when the action is complete.
