Set Up Holidays for Service Territories in Automotive Cloud
Create holidays to represent days during which a service territory is non-operational.
For example, all dealer showrooms and service centers in United States are closed on July 4.
Territory managers can link this holiday to all applicable service territories so that they can
avoid bookings for test drives and vehicle services on this day. You can create both planned and
unplanned holidays.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions.
User Permissions Needed
To create holidays:
Manage Business Hours Holidays
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Holidays, and then select
Holidays.
Click New.
Enter a name for the holiday such as Fourth of July.
Enter a description.
Select a date.
If the holiday is applicable for the whole day, select All
Day.
If a holiday is time-based, deselect All Day, and then enter the
start and end time for the holiday.
Deselect Recurring Holiday because Salesforce Scheduler doesn’t
support recurring holidays.
Click Save.
On the Holidays page, you can also click Clone next to the name of
an elapsed holiday and duplicate an expired holiday.
Territory managers can associate holidays with operating hours for a service territory. To
learn more about how holidays are considered by the scheduling flow, see Considerations for Holidays.
