            Set Up Data Processing Engines to Create Records in Bulk

            Configure your org with the required licenses, assign permission sets to users and set up Data Cloud to use Data Processing Engines to create product, asset, vehicle, and vehicle definition records in bulk.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

            Make sure your org is provisioned with these licenses.

            • Developer Edition - 1 or Enterprise Edition -1
            • GenieDataPlatformStarter
            • CSVImportLicenseAddOn
            1. Assign permission set licenses.
              1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users.
              2. Select a user.
              3. In the Permission Set Assignments related list, click Edit Assignments.
              4. Under Available Permission Sets, select Data Cloud Admin and Advanced CSV Data Import permission sets, and then click Add.
              5. Save your changes.
            2. Set Up and Turn On Data 360.
            3. Clone the Data Processing Engines.
              1. From Setup, enter Data Processing Engine in the Quick Find box, then select Data Processing Engine.
              2. In the list view, from the drop-down menu of the Add Products and Vehicle Definitions definition, select Save As.
              3. Enter a name for the definition.
                The API Name field is automatically populated.
              4. Save your changes.
              5. Activate your Data Processing Engine definition.
              6. Repeat the same for the Add Assets and Vehicles Data Processing Engine.
            4. Import CSV files.
              1. From App Launcher, search for and select CSV File Import.
              2. From the dropdown, select Import Using DPE Template.
              3. Upload your CSV file.
              4. Select the Data Processing Engine Definition as required.
                • Add Products and Vehicle Definitions: Create Product and Vehicle Definition records in bulk.
                • Add Assets and Vehicles: Create Assets and Vehicles records in bulk.
