Importance of Legal Entity Accounting Period Closure Closing an accounting period, both at the legal entity level and the enterprise accounting period level, is a formal act that signifies all transactions within that period are posted from sub-ledger to your enterprise general ledger.
Close Legal Entity Accounting Periods Maintain financial data integrity and accurate reporting by finalizing all transactions and closing the legal entity accounting periods at the end of their related accounting periods.
Reopen a Legal Entity Accounting Period Reopen legal entity accounting periods to reconcile any previous journal entries. This exercise helps maintain accurate and compliant financial records during accounting period closure.
Close an Accounting Period Close an accounting period after its duration ends and after all journal entries are validated for financial reporting of that period.
