          Define Mobile Relevant Fields

Sync only those fields that are required for use on the mobile app. It’s easy to sync objects to mobile devices by adding the mobile relevant fields to field sets.

To optimize synchronization engine and device performance and data storage, sync to the mobile device only the fields that are necessary for the mobile app. For example, a sales rep doesn’t need the fields used by reports in platform dashboards or the fields from the AppExchange apps that aren’t available in the mobile app. If the feature in the mobile app uses only a small subset of the fields in an object, then define only those fields in a field set as relevant for the mobile app.

          1. From the object management settings, open the object that you want to sync to a mobile device.
          2. In the Field Sets section, click New.
          3. In the Field Set Label and Field Set Name fields, enter MobilityRelevant.
          4. In Where is this used, enter Used to define fields relevant for the mobile app.
          5. Drag and drop the fields that you want to sync to the mobile device to the In the Field Set box.
          6. Save your changes.
