Advanced Order Enhancements with Pricing Information Fields

Advanced Order Enhancements with Pricing Information Fields

All pricing fields are persisted with the values calculated by the Penny Perfect Pricing (PPP) engine for advanced orders on the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app. Saving pricing information for orders and order items lets you create insightful reports.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled

Advanced orders on the desktop offer a user interface that closely aligns pricing information with the Consumer Goods Cloud mobile app order experience. This ensures data integrity and consistency, and you can capture pricing details for orders and order items across desktop and mobile interfaces.

          Note
Note Implementation teams mustn't assume that Penny Perfect Pricing (PPP) on the desktop order works the same as PPP on the mobile app for customer-specific scenarios using user exits that enhance the out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities. Implementation teams must conduct a Proof of Concept (PoC) before making any customer commitments regarding pricing functionality.

Advanced Order Limitations on Consumer Goods Cloud Desktop App

These limitations apply to advanced orders on the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app:

          • The Penny Perfect Pricing (PPP) engine shares values in an order’s calculation schema. However, using pricing info fields 1–10 as input on desktop orders isn’t supported.
          • The pricing layer and business logic extensibility are disconnected. The PPP engine doesn't recognize changes made through business logic extensibility. Calculation updates in the PPP layer aren't shared with business logic extensibility on the desktop orders.
