            Global Search in Consumer Goods Cloud

            Quickly find specific records or fields in the object such as visits, retail stores, customer tasks, and more on the Consumer Goods Cloud desktop app.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience

            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled

            What can you search?

            • Search for records in searchable objects and access them from the right panel of the search page.
            • To search from an object, either pick an object from the search object list or the left panel.
            • Search for specific fields within searchable objects.

            While you search

            • If you search by using a name or description, records from all objects that contain the name or description are shown.
            • While searching, provide a search term with at least two characters.
            • If you search for data from a deleted record, no results are shown.
            • If you recently created or updated the record, wait a few minutes for the record to be made searchable. If you can’t find your record after 15 minutes, contact your admin. See Search for Records in Lightning Experience.
            Important
            Important Global search follows the Salesforce Platform's sharing logic and the standard access checks of the Salesforce Platform apply. Your users can access only those records from global search that they have permission to view.

            Searchable Objects and Fields

            Here’s the list of objects available for global search and specific fields you can search within each object.
